Reports
Every report is worked out from the trades at the moment you open it, so it always agrees with them. Open any report for one portfolio or a whole family, on screen, as Excel, or as a PDF statement with your firm's logo and the client's details.
Run a report
- Open Reports and choose the report.
- Choose a portfolio or a family.
- Choose the period: All (up to 31 March of this financial year), a financial year, or dates. Holdings reports take an as on date instead.
- Click Show, then Excel or PDF statement to download. The PDF carries the firm's logo and details from Statement details.
- On a portfolio page, Export reports does the same in a popup.

How gains are worked out
- First in, first out, per portfolio: a sale uses the oldest shares first.
- A buy and sell of the same scrip on the same day is intraday and matched first.
- Listed shares and equity ETFs are long term when sold more than 12 months after purchase.
- Shares bought before 1 February 2018 and sold long term use the 31 January 2018 rule. How the rule works.
- Whether brokerage and other charges count is set for the whole firm. STT is never added.
- Mutual funds follow their tax class: equity funds as shares; debt funds bought from 1 April 2023 are always short term.
- F&O, currency and commodity are business income, shown apart from capital gains.
- "Check these" on a report
- Something is missing that affects the figures, such as a sale larger than the holding or a missing 31-Jan-2018 price. See Trades.
- Holdings shown at cost
- No price is loaded for that day or scrip yet. The report says so.
