Custom scrips
For holdings that are not in Wealth Plus's list of listed scrips: unlisted or pre-IPO shares, private companies, delisted or SME shares, bonds and NCDs, AIF and PMS. A custom scrip belongs to one portfolio, and only that portfolio can use it.
Add a custom scrip
- Open Trades > Custom scrips, choose the portfolio and click Add.
- Enter the name, category and, if it has one, the ISIN. Without an ISIN a private code starting with ZZ is used.
- Choose the tax treatment (see below), add face value and notes if useful, and save.
| Tax treatment | Long term after |
|---|---|
| Unlisted share / other | 24 months, without the 31-Jan-2018 rule |
| Listed equity | 12 months |
| Debt fund rules | As for debt funds |
Use it
- In Add trade, custom scrips appear first in the scrip list, under "Custom scrips (own portfolio)".
- In uploads they are matched by name or ISIN, for their own portfolio only.
- They can have custom corporate actions.
Give it a value
Click Update value, enter the value per unit and the date. Holdings and reports use it like a closing price until you enter a newer one.
