Ledger reconciliation

Where in the app
Trades > Ledger reconciliation
Who can use it
  • Firms (Firm Admin)
  • Family Head
  • Own portfolio login

Puts the Wealth Plus ledger and the broker's ledger side by side, matches them line by line, and lets you explain what doesn't match and sign the period off. Use it to prove a portfolio's trades are complete.

Reconcile a period

  1. Open Trades > Ledger reconciliation. Choose the portfolio and a period: each imported broker statement is listed (for example "FY 2024-25"), or pick dates.
  2. Set the filter to Not matched to see only what needs attention.
  3. For each open line, follow its reason: add the missing trade, upload the missing contract note, or copy the missing receipt.
  4. If a difference is correct (for example, a charge the broker books differently), click Explain and write why.
  5. When every line is matched or explained, click Sign off (firm staff).

Statuses

MatchedSame on both sides.
DiffersBoth sides have the line, with different amounts.
Only at brokerUsually a trade or receipt missing in Wealth Plus, for example "No trades in Wealth Plus on this day: a contract note may be missing".
Only in Wealth PlusA trade or entry the broker doesn't have: check its date, or whether it belongs to another portfolio.
ExplainedDoesn't match, but a note says why, with who wrote it and when.

How lines are matched

  • Bills by trade date, equal within ₹1 (brokers round each bill). If not on the same day, the same amount within 7 days. Several broker bills of one day (NSE and BSE) are added together.
  • Receipts, payouts and charges by date and amount, then the same amount within 7 days, then the voucher number.
  • Balance brought forward: Wealth Plus balance before the period against the broker's opening line.

Other buttons

  • Copy to Funds on a broker receipt, payout or charge that Wealth Plus doesn't have.
  • Excel: both sides of every line, status, difference and explanation.
  • Undo sign-off, and a list of signed-off periods.
"Changed since sign-off"
Trades, funds or the broker's ledger of that period changed after it was signed off. Check what changed and sign off again.
Warning that the broker's lines don't add up to the statement's closing balance
A line of the broker's PDF wasn't read. Tell us the broker and send the statement.
