Portfolios
A portfolio is one trading account of one person: holder, PAN, broker, client code and demat. Every trade, holding and report belongs to a portfolio. The Portfolios page lists them all; a portfolio's own login opens straight on its portfolio page.
Find a portfolio
Use the View switch next to the filters. Your choice is remembered next time.
| View | Shows |
|---|---|
| By family | The default. One row per family: name, code, number of portfolios, Family Head and status. Click a row (or its arrow) to open its members underneath, Self first, with PAN, relation, broker, client code, own login and status. Expand all and Collapse all open or close every family. Portfolios that belong to no family are listed last under Not in a family. |
| List | Every portfolio as one table, paged and sortable. |
- Search works in both views. Type a person's name, code, PAN, client code, email or mobile, and the families holding that portfolio open with it shown. Type a family's name, code or Family Head to see the whole family.
- The Family and Status filters narrow the list further.
- A portfolio shown in two families appears in both, marked "in 2 families".
- On each member: Open, Edit and Deactivate / Activate. The family rows update straight away. Open family goes to the family page.

| Details | Holder, PAN, date of birth, relation, broker, client code, demat, email, mobile. Edit and save. |

| Own login | Give this portfolio its own login, for a person who should see only this portfolio. |
| Reset portfolio | Firm staff only. See Reset portfolio. |
Details that matter
- Broker is required and is chosen from the list. It decides how the contract notes are opened and read.
- PAN, date of birth and client code are used to open password-protected PDFs and to match bulk contract notes to this portfolio. Wrong values mean you'll have to type the password each time.
- The client code must be the one printed on the contract notes (the UCC).
Switching a portfolio off
Deactivate a portfolio, or let its validity end, and its own login is blocked at once. Its trades stay; activate it again to restore access. To remove a portfolio for good, deactivate it first, then see Delete a portfolio.
